Loeffler: President Trump Taking Action to Rebuild America’s Roadways, Bridges, Ports

Praises Announcement in Georgia of Executive Order to Improve Transportation and Infrastructure

ATLANTA – U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) today accompanied President Trump during his visit to Georgia. Loeffler also attended the president’s event at the UPS airport hub in Hapeville, Georgia, where he highlighted his transportation agenda and announced an executive order to expedite infrastructure projects.

“Investing in infrastructure projects spurs economic development, attracts companies and creates jobs,” said Senator Loeffler. “At President Trump’s direction, this administration is taking bold action to help rebuild America’s roadways, bridges and ports. By slashing regulatory red tape to expedite critical infrastructure projects, such as the I-75 lane expansion project here in Georgia, we are reinvesting in America at a time when it is needed most. I applaud President Trump’s commitment to improving the lives and livelihoods of Americans across the country.”

Loeffler is a member of the President’s Opening Up America Again Congressional Group and spent nearly three decades in the private sector growing small and large businesses and creating thousands of jobs. In April, Loeffler released a comprehensive plan of more than 15 legislative proposals in her USA Restoring & Igniting the Strength of our Economy (USA RISE) Plan to reinvest in America, grow jobs, help families through the COVID-19 pandemic and jumpstart an economic recovery. A top priority in the USA RISE Plan is an infrastructure package.
