Loeffler: My Office is Here to Help
‘Serving Georgia and the Good People Who Call It Home is At the Very Heart of the Work I Do Every Day’
WASHINGTON, DC – Since taking office in January 2020, U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) and her staff have worked around the clock to serve Georgians. The office has opened over 3,800 cases from Georgians seeking help with a federal agency and has resolved nearly 2,600 of those cases. Many of these cases have come from Georgians seeking help amid the coronavirus pandemic to secure unemployment benefits and small business resources.
“My number one priority as a senator is listening to the people I represent and delivering results and constituent service for them. Serving Georgia and the good people who call it home is at the very heart of the work I do every day – not only by voting and working on your priorities, but also by being your champion and liaison with the federal government,” said Senator Loeffler. “I have a staff of dedicated public servants who put our Peach State constituents first. They work tirelessly every day to ensure that Georgians who need assistance get the best constituent service possible.”
Loeffler’s office assists constituents who need help cutting through the red tape at federal agencies, including helping constituents with receiving Social Security checks or VA benefits, obtaining a new passport, applying to a military service academy, challenging a decision by the IRS or enrolling in Medicare.
The following is a sampling of testimonials from Georgians who received help from Senator Loeffler’s office:
“We wanted to thank you for your help. Jim saw the doctor at the VA yesterday, and Jim said for the first time he felt that he was talking to someone who cared about him. Your calls and attention to this issue made such a difference. I do appreciate your kindness and attitude, a job well done,” said Vivian from Clarkesville regarding the assistance provided getting her husband Jim an appointment at the VA Medical Center.
“I would like to take the opportunity to thank you and your entire team for taking care of my request to check on my tax refund which was lingering in the halls of the IRS since April 13th. Low and behold, two days after my e-mail to [your staff] I had the online notification that my tax return had been approved and that my check (with interest) should be mailed by August 14th. Well, who and whatever lit the fire under these folks at the IRS........it sure worked. Your dedication is an example how the government can and will work with the proper attitude and dedication. Thank you and kind regards,” said Ernst in Marietta on his IRS issue.
“I can’t express enough thanks for following up and getting this done. Honestly, I can start being happy again. It was that important…. I was going around in circles and getting nowhere except into a deeper whole financially. Finally, one person stood up, addressing the issue, and quickly fixing the problem. That person was Senator Kelly Loeffler. She and her office did what they said they were going to do without finger-pointing or delay,” said Steve in Gwinnett County on getting his Medicare enrollment processed.
“Thank you, thank you. I finally received nine weeks unemployment back pay. I don’t believe this would have happened without the diligence of your office. As I stated in my previous emails no other officer or office had responded or caused a positive impact on my receiving my much-needed benefits. Thank you again,” said Faye in Dekalb on her unemployment.
“We are very grateful. Having the aid and funds for our small business will ensure our business survives the impact of COVID-19 and will be around for many years to come. In addition, we are able to continue to pay our staff to ease their financial hardship of having to close our doors during this time. It’s a blessing to us all,” said Dawn in Cherokee County on getting a Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loan and an Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) for her dance studio.
