Loeffler, Carter Visit Fort Stewart
Meet with Military Leaders, Mission Partners to Discuss Installation Priorities
HINESVILLE, Ga. – U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.), a member of the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee, today visited Fort Stewart with U.S. Representative Buddy Carter (GA-01) to meet with installation leadership and receive an update on the base’s priorities. Fort Stewart, the largest Army installation east of the Mississippi River, is home to the U.S. Army’s 3rd Infantry Division.
“Fort Stewart is an Army stronghold that bolsters the Savannah region and reinforces Georgia’s role as a military powerhouse,” said Senator Loeffler. “I’m honored to visit Fort Stewart with Congressman Carter to see firsthand the integral role the installation plays in our nation’s defense and in Georgia’s economy. As a senator representing so many men and women service members who have made incredible sacrifices for America, I will always work to ensure our troops and military bases have the resources they need as we work to make Georgia the most military-friendly state in the country.”
“It is always great to be at Fort Stewart, and I’m glad to have Senator Loeffler join us today,” said Congressman Carter. “Fort Stewart is the premiere Army installation in the country, and I am always proud to see the great work the men and women on post are doing to demonstrate that firsthand. I continue to be committed to working with Fort Stewart and the surrounding communities to keep Fort Stewart growing.”
